I play several tracks of acoustic guitar, as well as bass, percussion and vocals
The song was written and recorded in Feb 2011, just after the January incident in Tucson Arizona, where congresswoman Gabby Giffords was shot and seriously wounded, many others were wounded, and 6 people died. The perpetrator of this act had a history of mental illness and breaking the law but was allowed to buy an automatic weapon that could fire a 33 round clip without reloading. The song is, in part, a reaction to the shooting, a plea for gun control, and an attempt to make some sense of it all, if that’s possible. This song might be appearing on my next (third) album, which may be released somewhere later in 2012. As always, artist info at www.mikeskliar.com
